The Championship's top scorer Danny Graham is interesting Newcastle United, according to skysports.com.

The Watford man scored 24 goals in the regular season for the Hornets and after the club failed in their bid to reach the end of the season play-offs, may look to a move away.

And the Magpies, who are keen to replace Andy Carroll after his £35 million switch to Liverpool, are following his movements this summer.

Graham had a short spell in the Premier League with Newcastle's local rivals Middlesbrough, before moving to Leeds United and Carlisle United among others.

It was his form for the League One side that saw him win a move to Watford two years ago and his goals this season in particular, have caught the eye.

Despite signing a new deal at the start of the season, Graham's form may have made keeping him an impossibility for the Vicarage Road club, with Newcastle and QPR leading the race.

Newcastle have plenty of money to spend this summer, and whether they sign Graham or not, are expected to sign plenty of players to bolster their forward line.
