Liddle set for Pools stay

Gary Liddle will remain with Hartlepool next season after the npower League One club exercised their renewal option within his contract.

The versatile midfielder arrived at Victoria Park in 2006 following his release by Middlesbrough and has now played over 240 games for Pools.

Liddle, 24, made a total of 51 appearances last season, scoring six goals.
