New deal for Van Aanholt

Chelsea defender Patrick van Aanholt has agreed a new four-year contract with the Stamford Bridge club.

The 20-year-old joined the Blues from PSV Eindhoven in 2007 and has made eight appearances for the side, scoring in the Carling Cup third-round defeat to Newcastle last September.

Van Aanholt, a Holland Under-21 international, spent the second half of this season on loan at Leicester, while he has also had loan spells at Coventry and Newcastle.
