Chelsea striker Fernando Torres misses the service he used to receive at Liverpool, according to Blues assistant manager Michael Emenalo.

The Spanish striker has failed to live up to his £50 million transfer fee and has scored just once since his move from Anfield during the January transfer window.

Liverpool has since thrived without Torres under new permanent manager Kenny Dalglish.

And Chelsea assistant manager Emenalo said: " Can say he's still adapting to the pattern of Chelsea at the moment."

"This is due to the fact he's still missing the juicy passes being served to him by the likes of [Xabi] Alonso and [Steven] Gerrard, but with time he will adapt."

Torres' progress at Chelsea has been heavily scrutinised, and despite his first goal for the club coming against West Ham United, he has failed to convince many that he was worth the £50 million forked out for him by owner Roman Abramovich.

Liverpool used the money gained for Torres to sign Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll, to great success as Liverpool shot up the table after a difficult start to the season, and were even in contention for a Europa League spot until the final day of the season.
