Cedric Evina has revealed that personal reasons alone were behind his decision to quit Oldham.
The 19-year-old defender has rejected two offers to stay at Boundary Park and wants to move closer to London or back to his native France.
He told the Oldham Chronicle: "It was a difficult decision to make and not one I made overnight. I gave it a lot of thought. I come from a big family and they have always been around me. And without them it has been hard and there have been times when I have been lonely."
He added: "Manchester is a long way from home and I decided I wanted to be closer to my family."
