Derby defender Miles Addison is a transfer target for Championship rivals Barnsley.
A foot problem has restricted Addison to 38 appearances, 14 as a substitute, over the past two seasons but Tykes boss Keith Hill is an admirer of the 22-year-old. Addison finished last season fit but was largely consigned to the bench, his last start coming in a 2-1 defeat at Middlesbrough in early March.
"Miles is a player I admire and there is a possibility of him coming from Derby," Hill told the Derby Telegraph.
"I know him well and he is someone I would like to see come here.
"He is a multi-positional player who can play centre-half and right-back, as well as in midfield. I believe he would be a great acquisition for Barnsley."
Derby are trying to sign Jason Shackell from Barnsley and Addison could be used as a makeweight in any potential deal.
