Blades sign Lescinel

Sheffield United have signed Jean-Francois Lescinel.

The 24-year-old becomes Danny Wilson's first acquisition as Blades boss, signing a two-year deal after his contract at Swindon expired.

Wilson knows the player well following his spell in charge at the County Ground, he told the club's official website: "He will thrive on the pressure and expectation."

He added: "Hopefully we will see that we have got a very good player on our hands.


 

"He is very athletic, has a terrific left foot, he's comfortable at both left-back and centre-back, so he gives us options. He is a good addition to the squad.

"What we see is an aggressive and competitive character and I am very much looking forward to working with him."
