Speculation suggesting Carlos Tevez wants to leave Manchester City this summer is highly inaccurate according to the player's agent Kia Joorabchian.

The 27-year-old South American starlet's representative has hinted that Tevez is prepared to stay at Eastlands in a bid to help Roberto Mancini's side realise their dream of usurping neighbours Manchester United from the top of the Barclays Premier League.

"I don't think that speculation about Carlos moving is fair at the moment and I don't think money is a consideration," said Joorabchian.

"Carlos has always had a goal," he continued. "The goal was that City needed to get into the Champions League and win a trophy, and they won a trophy and achieved that goal.

"If you look at the team they are going to get stronger and stronger and, if Carlos stays, they would be my favourite to win the title."

Tevez is said to have upset a number of Citizens fans by his lack of commitment, and allowing the issue to rumble on without reaching resolution.

However, Joorabchian is of the opinion that his client's loyalty and dedication - that is always evident on the pitch, but not so much off it, has been underestimated in the past and that the club's increasing ambition is more central to Tevez's thoughts.

"I'm sure that will be a factor in his mind and, the fact that City fans have embraced him, will count for a lot along with his great relationship with the supporters.

"I think all these factors will be positives for him to stay. Carlos has not made any decision to move. We have not asked to leave the club."
