Gulls line-up Oastler swoop

Torquay are closing in on the permanent signing of midfielder Joe Oastler.

The 20-year-old was released by QPR in May but impressed during his loan spell at Plainmoor last season as Torquay lost to Stevenage in the League Two play-off final. Then manager Paul Buckle has since moved to rivals Bristol Rovers but new boss Martin Ling is still keen to hold onto Oastler.

 

"I've had a meeting with Joe and he is keen to join us," Ling told the club's website.
