Bencherif completes County move

Notts County have completed the signing of Macclesfield midfielder Hamza Bencherif.

The 23-year-old Algerian, County manager Martin Allen's fifth summer recruit, has signed a two-year deal.

Bencherif, who started out as a trainee at Nottingham Forest, had a spell on loan at Lincoln before joining Macclesfield on a free transfer in the summer of 2009.

He made a total of 46 appearances for the Silkmen last season, scoring 11 goals.
