Stevenage have agreed terms with Accrington defender Phil Edwards.
The newly promoted League One club have been chasing Edwards for more than a month in a bid to replace Luke Foster, who left to join Rotherham last week.
Stevenage will look to make the most of his versatility, with Edwards capable of playing at right-back and centre-midfield as well as centre-back.
The 25-year-old made 200 appearances for Accrington during his six-year stint at the club, and impressed last season on their way to the League Two play-offs.
