Shrewsbury have signed experienced defender Reuben Hazell on a two-year deal.
Former Aston Villa trainee Hazell, who has amassed over 300 appearances during spells at Tranmere, Kidderminster, Torquay, Chesterfield and Oldham, turned down the offer of a new contract with the Latics.
Shrews boss Graham Turner told the club's official website: "We've managed to get Reuben to join the club and that's great news and a big boost for us."
He added: "It completes our defence now, apart from maybe an out-and-out right-back.
"We have options, but ideally I would like a right-back.
"Reuben brings that bit more experience to the squad and adds to the balance we have here."
