Bluebirds land Gunnarson

Cardiff have signed former Coventry midfielder Aron Gunnarsson.

The two clubs must agree a compensation fee for the 22-year-old Iceland international, whose contract at Coventry had expired at the end of last season.

Gunnarsson is the Bluebirds' fifth summer signing and will join up with Malky Mackay's squad in time for their pre-season trip to Spain.

He has spent the last three seasons at Coventry after joining in July 2008 from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar and made 48 appearances for the Sky Blues during the 2010/11 campaign, scoring four goals.
