Antonio Valencia has no intention of leaving Manchester United, his agent has confirmed, amid reported interest from Juventus.

Sections of the Italian press have claimed that Juve have identified the 25-year-old as an ideal summer acquisition but that, says Diego Herrera, is purely speculation.

"Juventus? They are just rumours," Herrera told TMW. "There has been interest from Italy and Spain, but not anything concrete.

"The player also has another four years on his contract at Manchester, a place where he is very happy."

Despite United being on tour in the USA, Valencia is back in Manchester, undergoing treatment on an ankle injury sustained whilst playing for Ecuador in the Copa America.

The winger limped out of Ecuador's opening game of the tournament and was advised to return to Carrington to be assessed after he and his compatriots were eliminated in the group stage.

Valencia missed six months of the last campaign following the serious injury he sustained during a Champions League encounter with Rangers at Old Trafford in September.

He did, however, make a significant impact upon his eventual return, playing an integral rile as United secured a record 19th league crown.

And Valencia will now have an even greater incentive to recover in time for the new campaign, with summer acquisition Ashley Young set to contest the Ecuadorian for a starting berth.
