Dons line up striker

AFC Wimbledon hope to seal a deal for a striker within the next 48 hours.

Dons boss Terry Brown revealed he has held talks with two experienced players.

"We're hopeful we might have a decision over the weekend," he told the Surrey Herald. "I don't think we desperately need some striking power but we need a bit more strength physically."

The Kingsmeadow chief also has a deal for a young forward in place if his move for his other targets fail.

"I've got a young striker lined up if the experienced ones don't happen," he added.

Brown is looking to bolster his attack ahead of next weekend's League Two opener against Bristol Rovers.
