Tottenham will reportedly focus their attention on signing Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente, after Mirko Vucininc chose to sign for Juventus.

According to the Evening Standard, Vucinic's switch from Roma to Juve will hasten Spurs into an approach for Llorente, who has been on their radar for a number of months.

Llorente fired 19 goals last season for Bilbao, as they qualified for the Europa League, and has been identified by Spurs a player who can provide a genuine threat in the Barclays Premier League.

Spurs take on Bilbao in a pre-season friendly at White Hart Lane on Saturday and, it has been claimed, will attempt to commence talks over the potential acquisition of Llorente.

Harry Redknapp has outlined the acquisition of a new striker as a summer priority, but has been forced to abandon ideas of signing the likes of Vucinic and Giuseppe Rossi.

The Spurs boss has also been keeping tabs on Manchester City's Emmanuel Adebayor, but the Togolese looks set to rejoin Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Spurs have also been linked with Uruguay striker Diego Forlan and, somewhat surprisingly, Fulham forward Bobby Zamora.
