Warren Feeney looks set for a move to Plymouth after his contract at Oldham was terminated.
The Northern Ireland striker, 30, agreed a two-year deal with the Latics last summer.
However, a number of niggling injuries and international call-ups hampered his bid to make his mark at Boundary Park and he scored just one goal for Paul Dickov's men.
A statement from Oldham said: "The 30-year-old is in discussions with Plymouth Argyle with a view to a move to the npower League Two club."
