Colchester romped to a 4-1 home victory over Oldham to secure the day's biggest npower League One victory.

Sheffield Wednesday came out the right side of five-goal thriller against Scunthorpe at Hillsborough.

Gary Madine's brace and a Ben Marshall effort helped the Owls to a 3-2 victory against the Iron, who netted through Mark Duffy and Bobby Grant.

Huddersfield secured a 3-0 win against Wycombe thanks to Alan Lee's double and a Gary Roberts goal, while Exeter recovered from their midweek defeat to Liverpool to grab three points.

Troy Archibald-Henville's penalty and Tom Nichols' shot from the edge of the box helped Exeter win 2-1 against Chesterfield, who had levelled through Danny Whitaker.

Goalkeeper Iain Turner scored in Preston 2-0 win against Notts County, with Brian McLean netting the other goal.

Rochdale suffered a disappointing 3-1 home defeat to Hartlepool.

Adam Boyd's header broke the deadlock and James Poole's brace meant Louis Akpa Akpro's goal was a mere consolation.
