Newcastle United could make a late move to sign Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur target Bryan Ruiz, according to skysports.com.

Alan Pardew is desperate to sign an attacking player after losing the likes of Kevin Nolan and Joey Barton during the transfer window.

But despite Fulham having agreed a fee with Ruiz’s club FC Twente, and heavy interest from Tottenham, Newcastle are keen to snatch the forward.

The loss of Andy Carroll during the January transfer window has left a chasm in the heart of Newcastle’s attack.

However, Fulham are still favourites to sign the 26-year-old and will jostle with Newcastle until the end of the transfer window.
