Seaborne set for release

Southampton defender Dan Seaborne could be released from hospital this week.

The 24-year-old suffered serious head injuries after being assaulted outside a nightclub in the city in the early hours of Friday morning.

A statement on Saints' official website revealed Seaborne was making "steady progress".

It continued: "Doctors are hopeful that, all being well, Dan will be discharged within the next few days."
