After a summer transfer splurge, Liverpool have been widely tipped to make a significant impact in the Barclays Premier League this season, as Kenny Dalglish's Red revolution continues.

The Merseysiders recruited no fewer than seven players during the transfer window, with Jordan Henderson, Charlie Adam, Alexander Doni, Stewart Downing, Jose Enrique, Sebastian Coates and Craig Bellamy all making high-profile moves to Anfield.

And, with Steven Gerrard still set to return, these are genuinely exciting times at Liverpool under the stewardship of Dalglish and the ownership of Fenway Sports Group.

Downing, who joined Liverpool from Aston Villa for £20 million, is certainly feeling the benefit of a happy club, and has instantly slotted in both on and off the pitch.

And, says the England winger, if everything clicks for Liverpool this season, then the sky is the limit for the Reds' new breed.

"There is a feel-good factor," he explained. "We started the season very well but we've got a tough run of games coming up, starting with Stoke (on Saturday).

"If we keep playing the way we are at Liverpool, we've got a hell of a chance of being in the top bracket.

"But we take one game at a time."
