Northampton defender Byron Webster has been ruled out for around six weeks.

Manager Gary Johnson has revealed that Webster suffered a broken metatarsal during the goalless home draw against Torquay on Saturday.

"We were hoping it wasn't a break but unfortunately it is and he is probably going to be out for about six weeks," said Johnson.

"We will have to wait for it to heal but I think we're quite well covered in that area. It's good we signed Ashley Westwood and have still got John Johnson and Ben Tozer who can play there if we need them to."
