West Ham defender James Tomkins is likely to miss the next three matches with a groin injury.

The England Under-21 international was forced off after 30 minutes of Saturday's goalless draw at Millwall.

Boss Sam Allardyce fears Tomkins will not be available for any of the next three games and he said: "James has a groin strain. We've got a big week coming up with three games and it looks like he could miss all three."

Abdoulaye Faye made his debut against Millwall and looks set for a run in the side in Tomkins' absence.

Allardyce added: "It was great to see Abdoulaye Faye start and complete his first game."

The Hammers face home games against Peterborough and Ipswich followed by a trip to Crystal Palace next week.
