Arsenal are remaining keen on signing Peruvian striker Andy Polo, according to talkSPORT.

The 16-year-old has been on the club's radar for some months, after establishing himself in Universitario's first team.

Three goals in 12 appearances represents an impressive start for the forward, leading Arsenal to enquire for his services.

The club have a reputation of bringing through young players through, and Polo, given his emergence, would be an ideal fit for Arsenal's proficient youth academy.

However, attention from a quartet of European clubs, including Udinese, Olympiakos, Rayo Vallecano and Villarreal could delay a move for Polo, who has three goals in four games for his country's Under-17's.

The financial position of Universitario, is expected top lead them demanding a fee in the region of £800,000 from Arsenal for Polo.
