Blues extend Wood loan

Birmingham have extended the youth loan of West Brom forward Chris Wood by a further three months.

The 19-year-old, who scored his first professional hat-trick for Blues against Millwall last month, has impressed manager Chris Hughton during his initial two-month stay at St Andrew's.

And the striker, who has netted seven times in eight league appearances, will now remain with the Championship outfit until January 5.

West Brom have the right to recall Wood at any time, should they deem it necessary.
