Pearson success recognised

Hull manager Nigel Pearson has been nominated for September's npower Championship manager of the month award.

Pearson has steered the Tigers into the top six following an unbeaten six-match run, with two draws and two wins secured in September.

The former Leicester boss is one of four managers nominated for the monthly accolade. Southampton's Nigel Adkins, Middlesbrough's Tony Mowbray and Malky Mackay of Cardiff are also in contention.
