Cardiff defender Ben Turner has finally proven he is back to full fitness after playing 90 minutes of a development-team match against Birmingham.
Turner, a summer signing from Coventry, has yet to start for the Bluebirds since his £750,000 switch and only made his first appearance as an 84th-minute substitute in the 2-1 defeat at Hull on Saturday.
That brief cameo was also the 23-year-old's first competitive outing since last November.
However, Turner came through the development fixture on Tuesday without any problems and is now fighting to win one of the two centre-back berths currently occupied by Anthony Gerrard and Mark Hudson.
Cardiff coach Neal Ardley told the South Wales Echo: "Ben was outstanding and looked sharp."
