Atkinson given Stoke fixture

Referee Martin Atkinson has not been given a temporary demotion from the Barclays Premier League despite the red card he showed to Everton's Jack Rodwell being overturned.

Professional Game Match Officials Limited announced today Atkinson will be in charge of Stoke v Fulham on Saturday.

Rodwell successfully appealed against his red card in the Merseyside derby - a match that Liverpool went on to win 2-0.
