Sheffield United defender Marcus Williams is hoping to make a major impact in the Steel City derby this weekend.

The Reading full back extended his stay at Bramall Lane on Monday, has been out of action over the past fortnight after failing to shake-off a dead leg.

However, the 25-year-old is back to full fitness for the Blades, and ready to celebrate his stay at the club until mid-December with a fine performance against their biggest rivals.

"Hopefully I will be back for Sunday," Williams told the official Sheffield United website.

"The boys have been telling me how massive the game is and it what it means to the fans and club. I have never played in a game as big as this one coming up.

"When I was at Scunthorpe we played Doncaster and Hull but it just wasn't the same. This game is important for us we need to get the points and get back on track."

It's thought the former Peterborough United loanee could make his deal permanent in January, and a victory over the Owls would be a good way for Williams to endear himself to his latest set of supporters.
