Tottenham Hotspur have planned a swap deal to bring striker Seydou Doumbia to the club, according to The Metro.

The 23-year-old forward is a know target of Spurs, but at £30 million, has yet o receive a substantial offer.

However, with Tottenham keen to offload Roman Pavlyuchenko, the club may have the ideal bargaining chip to tempt CSKA Moscow into selling their prized asset.

Tottenham are known to want to rid of Pavlyuchenko, who has consistently been out of favour with manager Harry Redknapp, while the arrival Emmanuel Adebayor has pushed him further down the pecking order.

The Russian forward is yet to make a start for Spurs in the league this season, while Doumbia has 16 goals this season in domestic and Champions League competition.
