River Plate president Daniel Passarella has dismissed claims Lucas Ocampos will be leaving for Chelsea.

The £15 million rated Argentine starlet has been linked with a handful of clubs across Europe, with Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas thought to be monitoring the teenager closely.

However, Passarella has insisted the Nacional B side do not need to sell their top players, and that Ocampos will be staying at the Monumental for the foreseeable future despite the interest of Chelsea.

"We have cleaned up our bank statements," Passarella told SkySports.

"At the moment, we do not need to sell anybody else."

Chelsea invested heavily in young players this summer, with Romelu Lukaku, Juan Mata and Oriol Romeu all joining the ranks at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are also known to be monitoring a handful of other young players across the world, including Kevin de Bruyne, suggesting that the new Chelsea boss is building for the future.
