Following Manchester United's 6-1 thrashing at the hands of rivals Manchester City, Roberto Mancini has hailed striker Mario Balotelli.

The Italian was influential at Old Trafford, opening the scoring with a cool finish and adding another on the hour mark before being substituted.

Roberto Mancini said he believes that Balotelli can become one of the best players in the world - but only if he changes his erratic behaviour.

After scoring, Balotelli revealed a shirt reading "Why Always Me?", referring to his headline grabbing antics off and on the field.

Today's transfer news sees reports Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is targeting Lyon defender Dejan Lovren.

Tottenham Hotspur are facing competition from North London rivals Arsenal for long term target Fernando Llorente.

And finally, Andre Villas-Boas has hinted he could make a move for Genk midfielder Kevin De Bruyne in January.
