Manchester United have made an enquiry to sign Genoa loanee Richmond Boakye, according to owner Enrico Preziosi.

The 18-year-old is currently on loan at Sassuolo, but have scored six goals in 11 games.

His form has sparked interest in him, with United mentioned in dispatches.

"Is it true that many clubs are already finding out about Boakye? A big Italian company (understood to be Juventus) and a great English one, Manchester United, have already asked me because he is very strong," he told Corriere dello Sport.

United are also reportedly interested in signing La Liga trio Jordi Alba, Javi Martinez and Bruno Soriano as their transfer list.

Furthermore, Preziosi says the club could be tempted to re-sign Diego Milito, who is report unhappy with life at Inter.

"There is a mutual promise with Milito. He considers Genoa his home and we consider him one of the family. He'll come back to us, even if only for a year," he added.

"Could it happen as early as January? Almost impossible. (Genoa midfielder, Juraj) Kucka to Inter? The fact that Inter have bought his co-ownership makes me realise that I was right (about his value)."
