Paolo di Canio's Swindon Town registered an FA Cup first-round shock by thrashing League One high-flyers Huddersfield 4-1.

The Terriers have not lost in 42 games in the league but were thumped after Lee Novak gave them a 22nd-minute lead. Aden Flint, Raffaele De Vita, Mehdi Kerrouche and Simon Ferry were on target for Swindon.

Blue Square Premier outfit Luton are also in the hat for the second round after ousting Football League opposition in the shape of Northampton. Substitute Adam Watkins scored the matchwinner after 80 minutes.
