Everton picked up their third away win of the season as they overcame 10-man Bolton Wanderers.

After David Wheater’s sending off, Marouane Fellaini latched onto Leighton Baines’ cross.

Substitute Vellios then hammered home a second as Bolton lost their 10th game of the season.

The sending off of Wheater, the fastest in the league this season, swung the contest in the favour of The Toffees and after the break they made their superiority pay.

Baines’s wicked cross came all the way through to Fellaini, who toe-ended the ball beyond Jussi Jaaskelainen.

Tim Cahill was guilty of missing opportunties to extend the visitors’ lead, but the Australian did provide the crucial second for David Moyes’ men, setting up Vellios with 12 minutes remaining.
