Newcastle United and Arsenal target Olivier Giroud has spoken of his fondness for the Barclays Premier League.
The Montpellier striker has been linked with moves to both the Sports Direct Arena and Emirates Stadium.
Toon boss Alan Pardew is desperate to add to his striking options in January, Gunners chief Arsene Wenger has been reported to be on the look out a forward.
The Magpies may be disappointed in their pursuit, as Giroud has signaled a preference to stay until the end of the season, though a sizable offer may turn his head.
Arsene Wenger will be short striking options come the middle of January, with both Gervinho and Marouane Chamakh on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Giroud has been winning plaudits from around Europe after scoring 12 goals in 15 Ligue 1 games this season.
“I am very happy with the start of the season,” said Giroud.
“I am in good form, in good physical condition so I am lucky at the moment and enjoying my football.
"It is normal to be linked with clubs when you are scoring goals."
He added: "I like the English Premier League. Newcastle are a big club, so who knows?
"But at the moment I am thinking about Montpellier and putting them on the European map at the end of the season."
