AFC Wimbledon are currently enjoying their first-ever taste of league football and yesterday added a former Don in Jason Euell who had a notable spell with the original Wimbledon back in 1995 through to 2001.

It is a mark of how far Terry Brown's side have come, to attract a former hero back to South London. Euell has signed an initial five week loan from League One side Charlton where he has managed just three starts this season.

Boss Brown could not hide his delight with the coup saying: "Jason will bring with him Premier League quality and Premier League experience."

Euell, who won three full international caps for the country of his heritage; Jamaica, will bring tremendous experience and guidance to a young Dons team, who contain many players under the age of 25.

The versatile attacking midfielder or forward scored as many as 41 goals in his former spell with the Crazy Gang and was signed for some £5million by fellow Londoners Charlton on the turn of the millennium.

AFC Wimbledon's forward ranks were boosted even further yesterday too, with the addition of Byron Harrison for a club record fee from Stevenage.
