Brazilian teenager Casemiro has confirmed his desire to stay with Sao Paulo, despite reported interest in his signature from Arsenal.
The 19-year-old continues to impress for both club and country, and has frequently been linked with a big-money move to Europe.
Arsenal has been touted as a potential destination for Casemiro, as Arsene Wenger plots his moves during the January transfer window.
Along with the Gunners, Serie A outfit Roma have also been linked with the midfielder, and are reportedly planning a £10 million bid for his services.
However, Casemiro is content with life in Sao Paulo, and believes he owes a debt of gratitude to his current employers.
''I know I didn't finish the year in a good way," he told Sambafoot. "It was not like I planned.
"But now it's a new year, a new life. I went on vacation and have returned with a new mind-set. I will work hard to regain my place here at São Paulo."
