Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is urging the club to claim a trophy during the second half of the season.

The Blues went without any silverware last season, a trophyless campaign which saw manager Carlo Ancelotti sacked in the summer.

Andre Villas-Boas' side are off the pace in the race for the Premier League title, but with an FA Cup fourth round tie against Queens Park Rangers to come and the Champions League resuming next month, Cech is demanding some success in 2012.

"We set a standard in recent years, and that's the way it is at a big club - especially here," he said.

"We want, ourselves, to win something. We don't want to go another season without trophies, so our aim is to end this season with silverware.

"We're doing everything in our power to achieve that, alongside the transformation and transition of the team. I think it will be a good year to build on for the future."
