GMF weekend preview: Jan 21-22

Arsenal v Manchester United

Arsenal will be looking for revenge when the face United for the first time since their humiliating 8-2 defeat at Old Trafford in August.

Thomas Vermaelen could return to bolster the Arsenal defence after back to back defeats, while Thierry Henry is battling to be fit.

Phil Jons and Chris Smalling return for United, giving manager Sir Alex Ferguson options at the back with Rio Ferdinand also available.
 

Manchester City v Tottenham

Tottenham have came a long way since their 5- 1 thrashing at the hands of City back in August - even making a challenge for the title.

Emmanuel Adebayor has been a big part of their title tilt, but is ineligible to play against his parent club, with Jermaine Defoe set to step in.

Mario Balotelli is fit to return for Roberto Mancini's side, while Stefan Savic will likely cover the absence of the suspended Vincent Kompany.

Norwich v Chelsea

On Saturday, Chelsea face a tough trip to Norwich, who have been impressive upon their return to the Barclays Premier League.

Andre Villas-Boas new signing Gary Cahill could start on the bench, while Michael Essien is set to make his long awaited return.

Bolton v Liverpool

Kenny Dalglish's side are away at Bolton, with the Scottish manager looking for a solution in attack as Luis Suarez continues his suspension.

Dalglish is likely to reinstate Andy Carroll and Craig Bellamy in the starting line up, with midfielder Jay Spearing the only injury doubt.

Fulham v Newcastle

The Magpies are without key trio Cheick Tiote, Demba Ba and new signing Papiss Demba Cisse, but are full of confidence, sitting in 6th.

Sunderland v Swansea City

Sunderland welcome Swansea, with Martin O'Neill wary of the Swans in light of the recent performances from Brendan Rodgers side.

QPR v Wigan

Mark Hughes will be aiming to haul the Hoops out of the relegation zone when they face fellow strugglers Wigan Athletic at Loftus Road.

Everton v Blackburn

David Moyes is hoping a good result against Blackburn can kick off a winning streak at home that would propel Everton up the table.

Wolverhamption Wanderers v Aston Villa | Stoke City v West Bromich Albion
