Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is a target for Serie 'A' giants Juventus, according to Daily Star.

The Uruguayan is set to return from an eight-match ban for racially abusing Patrice Evra against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday.

However, Juventus are planning to cut short his career at Anfield, but drafting him in to replace Alessandro Del Piero, who will leave the club at the end of the season.

Reports previously emerged that the club's tarnished reputation following the allegations of Suarez abusing Evra had led to a decision to sell the £22.8 million front-man.

Suarez is likely to be subject to a torrent of criticism from supporters following his return, with the club having warned the forward to expect the worst.

It's understood that Suarez himself may seek an exit from Merseyside, in an attempt to re-build his reputation elsewhere.

His departure would be a huge loss to Liverpool, given his impact since his January move from Ajax in 2011.
