Neil Warnock is ready to return to management, with Championship side Leeds understood to be his likely destination.

The 63-year-old, who is a free agent after losing his job at QPR last month, was photographed meeting Leeds owner Ken Bates and chief executive Shaun Harvey in Bates' home city of Monaco on Friday, and Press Association Sport understands he has been interviewed for the post.

Writing in his column in the Independent on Saturday morning, Warnock admitted he is ready to return to the dugout. He said: It's been an interesting week. There are possibilities cropping up that may offer the chance to get back into the game and I have to admit they whet my appetite."
