Paris Saint-Germain are not prepared to give up on the hope of signing Luis Suarez despite Liverpool's reluctance to sell, it has been claimed.

Carlo Ancelotti is likely to be given a massive transfer kitty by the club's Qatari owners in order to reinforce his squad in the summer and, it would appear, Suarez is one of several targets.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has already moved to rubbish any reports linking Suarez with a move to the Parc des Princes, but speculation continues to mount.

According to talkSPORT, PSG club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is ready to test the resolve of Liverpool by making a formal approach for Suarez in the transfer window.

Liverpool, of course, have no intention of letting Suarez leave Anfield, but it would be interesting to see how much money they could afford to turn down.

PSG displayed a willingness to spend big on relatively unproven talent last year, when Javier Pastore joined the club from Palermo for £40 million, and surely Suarez would command a far greater fee.
