Rodgers accepts resources gap

Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers admits in terms of resources his side should not be on the same field as Manchester City, but says they will have no fear when they host the Barclays Premier League leaders on Sunday.

While the clubs may play in the same division, there is a major gulf in the finances available to Rodgers and his counterpart Roberto Mancini. Swansea brought in record signing Danny Graham last summer for a fee of £3.5million while City were able to complete the capture of Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero for a fee of £38million.

But Rodgers said: "We go into the game with no fear, we want to bring our 'A' game and if we do that and they have an off day hopefully it will go the same way as some of the other games here against the big teams."
