Manchester City provided the archetypical performance of potential Premier League champions, coming from behind to win late against a revived Chelsea side.

Carlos Tevez's comeback was always liable to grab the headlines upon his return to first-team action, and the Argentine provided a brilliant pass to allow Samir Nasri to grab a late winner.

Joe Hart - 6

Had no chance with Cahill's goal, but did save well from Mata in one of the few occasions he was called into action.
 

Micah Richards - 8

Marshalled Torres impressively in the absence of Kompany and Lescott.
 

Pablo Zabaleta - 7

Assured performance from the Argentine, but with Cole rarely able to get forward, had little to deal with.
 

Gael Clichy - 8

Performed impressively against the wasteful Ramires at left-back and provided decent width.
 

Kolo Toure - 7

Approaching the sort of form he enjoyed at Arsenal. Eased defensive crisis.
 

Samir Nasri - 8

City's greatest threat going forward. Hit the bar early on, before netting the winner five minutes from time.
 

David Silva - 6

Influence is beginning to wane in the twilight of the season. Metronomic passing no-more.

Capitalised on Chelsea's clumsy passing and proved effective when the scores were level.
 

Yaya Toure - 6

Had less impact when given more license in the second half. Thrusting runs limited throughout.

Plenty of endeavour but sporadic with his end product. Cool from the spot to draw City level.

Probably his finest Chelsea performance of the season. Assured between the sticks, and distributed superbly.

Saw injury curtail his evening's work mid-way through the first half.
 

Ashley Cole - 8

Still regarded as one of the best left-backs in the world, and had few problems dealing with City attacks.
 

David Luiz - 7

Few moments of alarm for the Brazilian defender, whose strength was useful against Aguero.
 

Gary Cahill - 7

Often shaky on the ball, but struck his second goal in a week to put the Blues ahead.
 

Ramires - 6

Received plenty of the ball, but lacked a killer pass or the decision making required to take advantage.
 

Frank Lampard - 6

Too deep to have much influence, and was restricted to defensive responsibilities.
 

Juan Mata - 7

Spurned Chelsea's best chance of the game when he sliced over, but his crafty footwork and combination with Torres meant he was a constant threat.
 

John Obi Mikel - 6

Chelsea's stopper battled manfully in the centre, however, his lack of a decent passing range rarely allowed his side to break effectively.

Wasteful in possession in important areas of the pitch, while he didn't make any impact in attacking areas.

Impressed with his back to goal but constantly found himself on the peripheral of any attack.
