Roberto Mancini hailed the impact of Carlos Tevez last night as Manchester City came from behind to beat Chelsea - and move within a point of Manchester United.

The Argentinian striker, returning to the side after almost six months, came on as a substitute to provide the assist for the winning goal.

Elsewhere last night, Kenny Dalglish was at a loss to explain his side's capitulation at QPR, where Liverpool threw away a two goal lead.

Elsewhere, three points at Everton saw Arsenal move into third, above Tottenham who only managed a point at home against Stoke City.
