Jordan Rhodes' 33rd league goal of the season was enough to earn Huddersfield a 1-0 win over npower League One leaders Charlton and kept alive the Terriers' own hopes of automatic promotion.

Rhodes scored a 14th-minute penalty to break the club's post-war scoring record after Darel Russell had fouled Gary Roberts in the box, a result which means Simon Grayson's men have lost just once in their last 18 league games and leaves them three points behind Sheffield Wednesday, who climbed to second with a 1-0 win at Leyton Orient.

Reda Johnson's 49th-minute goal proved enough for the Owls, who moved above city rivals Sheffield United with the Blades inactive.
