Barcelona have open negotiations regarding the transfer of Chelsea and Liverpool target Lucas Ocampos.
Both Kenny Dalglish and the Stamford Bridge club have been linked with moves for the young attacker in the past, with both reportedly being urged to bid for a player who has been dubbed the ‘new Cristiano Ronaldo’.
Now Argentine newspaper Ole is reporting that the Catalans have made contact over a possible transfer for Ocampos – a blow to the hopes of the Blues and the Anfield club.
The report claims that the 17-year-old’s club have demanded a fee in excess of €20million, but will likely be accept an offer of around €15million due to their dire financial situation following relegation from Argentina’s top flight.
Ocampos is a tall, athletic forward who can play in a central position, as well as out wide on either flank.
The comparisons with Ronaldo came about due to his physique and dribbling ability while also having the physical attributes to have a presence in aerial battles.
