Assistant referee Dave Bryan has been stood down from Tuesday night's Barclays Premier League clash between Blackburn and Liverpool following his offside blunders in Chelsea's victory over Wigan.

Press Association Sport understands the Professional Game Match Officials Board had decided to withdraw Bryan for the game at Ewood Park in the wake of his performance at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Chelsea beat Wigan 2-1, with Bryan and referee Mike Jones allowing their goals to stand before replays showed both should have been ruled out for offside.
