Kenny Dalglish has insisted his is responsible for all of Liverpool's signings since his return as manager after the departure of director of football Damien Comolli earlier today.

With Liverpool enduring a difficult season, failures on the pitch and in the transfer market have come under scrutiny, with Comolli leaving the club by mutual consent.

Arsene Wenger has hailed captain Robin van Persie after the Dutchman equalled Ian Wright's record of scoring against 17 different league teams in the same season.
